What to send us so we can quote your print
You don’t need a 3D model — a photo or sketch is enough. Here’s what helps us most with a quote and why it lets us get back to you right away.
We quote for free and in advance. The more precise the materials we receive, the sooner we can send an offer we won’t have to revise three times. It’s nothing complicated — you can get through this list in five minutes.
The ideal starting point: a 3D model
We quote fastest from ready-made data in STL, OBJ, STEP or 3MF format. STEP is best if you expect changes — it preserves shapes that can be worked with further.
No model? No problem
We’ll prepare the model for you. For that we need any of the following:
- a photo of the part, ideally from several sides,
- a sketch with dimensions — even freehand, pencil on paper,
- a sample that you bring or send us,
- a drawing in PDF.
We model the part from the materials and prepare it for printing straight away.
What to tell us as well
Quantity. We print from a single piece to series — but the unit price changes with quantity, so it helps to know whether it’s a prototype or two hundred pieces.
Where the part will be used. Outdoors? In heat? Will it carry a load? We recommend the material accordingly — see our article on choosing materials.
Deadline. We typically ship within 2–5 working days and can manage express within 24 hours. If we know it’s urgent, we schedule the job accordingly.
Critical dimensions. If the part has to fit somewhere precisely, mark which dimensions those are. We can adapt the print orientation to them.
The visible side. For parts that will be on show, it’s worth telling us which side is the good one — it affects how we place the part on the build plate.
What happens next
We usually get back to you the same day. The offer includes the recommended material, price and lead time. Nothing is paid in advance and the inquiry is non-binding.
And one more thing: your data
We process print data exclusively locally on our own server. Your models never travel to printer manufacturers’ clouds — for prototypes that nobody has seen yet, that’s often the reason customers choose us.
